It's stupid how they wanna give people tickets when most people are behaving and they should just target the ones with no insurance ect rather than the People that do nothing wrong haha

I think they should put speed bumps along the road, with speed camera's with a 20mph speed limit for the whole seafront and then towards Chalkwell end raise it up to a 30mph limit as thats away from all the Restaurants etc, that way noone can speed as camera's and speed bumps

Update to injunction

Post by BigV8 on Thu Sep 03, 2015 5:31 pm

Hi all. Just had a meeting with the police and they mentioned the cruises along southend seafront. 76 injunctions were handed last last night at the passionford meet due to anti social behaviour.
They have given me some clarification on the injunction on the cruises.
This injunction does not stop people going down the seafront. It is against those driving in an anti social way, spinning wheels, racing cars etc. if people in there cars drive down the seafront, park there cars properly and pay for parking if necessary there is no injunction breached.

Yea you got it in one! Problem is a few ruined it for everyone else. Instead of targeting and moaning about the police really we should be moaning about those who have ruined it for others!

Ah that makes sense. Yeah they wasn't very clear on what the injunction was about other than stopping modified cars going down there altogether

Technically it's illegal to speed and do burnouts on any road so really it don't make any difference to the people that just park up it just ruins the fun of the cruises down seafront cos we all wanna see cars speeding off and burning up there rubbing it's part of the car scene

Problem is people want to take pictures and ask advice from a proper enthusiast like myself, not 'what stage mountune has you st got bruv' type of people..
And the local economy like kjs cafe can always benefit from 1 evening a month where they stay open later extra trade for them is money for a local business which we all like..
Surely best outcome is business and law enforcement and cruisers to have open dialouge and communicate effectively to benefit everyone

Some police officers don't want to talk though. They're power hungry and want to show who's boss :/

In fact no matter what activity you do a minority will ruin it..
He and the council have the problem the police are just doing what the law states.
