Important Adding an avatar to your profile

Post by MissLeighMcKay Tue Dec 09, 2014 4:58 pm

It is fairly simple to add an avatar to your profile which will then appear next to your name whenever you post something on the forum.

Click on the profile tab at the top of the page and then it will bring you to your profile. Then click on the avatar tab which will show you different options for adding your very own avatar.

For now, the Create my avatar option does not work, it allows you to create it but once you go to save, it says the address is not found. We are working on a fix for this.

I used http://avatarmaker.net/ to create my avatar where I uploaded a photo of my choice and chose the size, 150x150. It then requires you to drag a box over the image where you can select what part of the selected photo you want in the resized version. At the bottom of the photo, click on save selection. It will give you 2 options to either open in a new window or create another. Choose to open in a new window and it will show the resized image. Right-click and save picture as...

Now you have your picture saved, go back to the forum where you was choosing an option to add your avatar. Click on browse and locate the one you have just made from Avatar Maker.

For the URL option and the off-site avatar, I haven't figured out how to use them but once I have, I will edit this post on how to use it.

You can also choose from a wide selection of pre-made avatars the forum offers ranging from cartoons to games to singers etc.

If anyone has any issues, please post below and I will answer your question as soon as I can!
