Anybody still on here?
Forum seems a little dead but ill introduce myself regardless. I'm Rich (by name not bank account unfortunately) and here is my Imola Yellow S3 8L [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].
I've only been driving a year an a few months but picked this up after my Clio 172 got written off in a pile up. Has a few little mods from previous owner but my plan is to just tidy it up initially while I'm saving for a house then modify more after. Colour will stay the same because I love it and the interior matches (ill get some more pictures soon) but if anybody would like to share their opinions on future mods I should be considering or wheels you think will suit it etc then feel free to let me know.

Re: Anybody still on here?
Welcome @RichIsGood
Yeah the forum has been dead, Facebook took over and became more convenient for people. I'm trying to get people to get back onto the forum but I have no idea if it will work. I did kind of neglect it for months on end
Anyway, loving the car. I'm not sure I've been an S3 in yellow before, I like it, it's different. A black roof wrap would look good. And the headlights look a little foggy so could tidy those up.

Wow, that has done a brilliant job! I've never tried it myself but I tried toothpaste on my mk2 Clio years and years ago that never worked. But then again, I had no idea about detailing and what products were out there at the time.
Did it take much work to get it like that?

Took about an hour, the 3M kit I used comes with masking tape, a drill attachment, different grades of sandpaper that velcro on to it, wet and dry and buffing pad with cutting compound. The only things i needed were a few microfibre rags and a spray bottle of water. Only thing I need to do it put something on to seal the surface and stop them from fading too quickly.

So it wasn't as simple as giving them a wipe over then?

Re: Anybody still on here?
They came up really well looking at the pictures. Need to do the same to my sisters Clio when she picks it up
Re: Anybody still on here?
Unfortunately not, I could do with breaking the seal on them and cleaning the inside of the lens but that's a massive pain in the ass so it can waitMissLeighMcKay wrote:So it wasn't as simple as giving them a wipe over then?
