Anti lag Empty Anti lag

Post by BigV8 Thu Oct 01, 2015 9:41 pm

Hi all.
So I got an idea of what anti lag does but not how and especially how to install it.if considering this rear mount turbo system on the supra then I'm thinking with the hx40 I could do with anti lag for launching but how do I do it?
What is required to be fabricated etc and is it on a switch or mechanical?
I will still be running it on standard management with just a raising rate pressure regulator and updated pump and injectors. The standard maf will also be remaining

From what I understand there's three ways to go about it. One of them isn't really anti lag more launch control known as 2 step anti lag. This is what I believe would be best for me as its described as being best set up for drag racing. Thing I'm not sure about is will the turbo still spool at stand still at the starting line with 2 step

Yes it will still spool..
All launch control does is cut ignition ie switch it off at a certain condition..
Remeber my old glanza banged and flamed..
That was launch control.. it will allow yu to launch with little boost and high revs.

Real anti lag uses another injector and needs a stand alone ecu.
Or it uses another idle valve and ru s on a switch like my omex does but i dont use it as goes through turbos quickly unless have a race bearing even then it needs a rebuild every season.

The idea of anti lag is to keep turbo making boost whilst changing gear.
So throttle shuts, but fuel is still injected like the throttle is open to create heat and thus spinning turbo, the fuel ignites off hot manifold turbo etc.. but the fuel is used for cooling..
